As far as the piece, I think I agree with most of the people here mentioning that a sense of depth and scale could be nice.. but I love what you did with the rainbows in the mist.. that gives an idea of just how big this gargantuan beast is.
Keep it up, I'll be keeping an eye on ya.
I feel I've reached somewhat of a Plato with this piece and will find it hard to improve on it. I shall make some changes, that people have bought to my attention, but then I will probably move on with the next Titan image. I'm hoping that I will be able to look back after having done a number of these and see technical progression.
If you haven't already, I'd give these guys a look, they do some amazing tutorials on concept art and digital painting, especially because you obviously have the skills, you just need to work on the technical side ---> [link]
This one might be especially useful for you if you are working on giant monsters ---> [link]
Keep at it and keep up the good work.
When you say; "Background" what did you have in mind? My vision for this was that the creature made up the majority of the horizon and, in a sense, is the background however i am very much open to suggestion. Having worked on it for a while I find it hard to actually see what actually needs to be added as to make it most effective.
