Terror-Mite by TGHarrison Terror-Mite by TGHarrison

Part of a project for university. This was a finalised creature design.

The Terror-Mites (Human Nickname) are a race of insect like life forms that inhabited A world with a high oxygen atmosphere, allowing for large insect creatures. They are fairly primitive but possess an unusual technology that allows them to re design DNA and effectively create/grow biological tools.
It was this ability that the "Saucer Men" found interesting and the reason why they decided to concour the planet that the Terror-Mites inhabited. Now the Terror-Mites are effectively slaves, forced to create biological weapons and vehicles for the saucer men. On rare occasions Terror-Mites have been deployed like shock troops against areas of Human resistance.Though naturally not too aggressive the Terror-Mites have been pain conditioned to attack and do so without mercy.

A terrifying creature with a surprisingly sad backstory. I love the long legs and the color!

I didn't use a Stilt Strider as a direct source of inspiration but I do love the game Morrowind and so I may have been subconsciously influenced. You are not the first to say that it looks like one.
